Nimrit’s Sweet Sixteen Birthday Celebration!!
Dear Family and Friends,
Over the past few years, I have been actively involved as a Youth Ambassador for the Akshaya Patra Foundation, one of the largest non- profit school meal provider in the world today. It has given me immense gratitude at being given the honor and privilege in aiding the Akshaya Patra program which ultimately helps many children get an education in India.
Being capable of supporting the education and providing meals for a child and their family in their state of poverty comes with a very noble cause. Growing up with a family that could provide me more than just necessities was an ideal that I may have taken for granted. Never have I actually thought about growing up in a different lifestyle where I’m barely allowed proper education and food. Realizing this now makes me feel extremely lucky, blessed, and more thankful than ever.
Therefore, seeing an individual who doesn’t have the opportunities and privileged possessions that I have, has not only motivated me but has also made me determined with mindset in creating a difference in these precious children’s lives which gives me gratitude and strength in believing that We all are capable of doing such a noble deed and gesture.
Instead of bringing a Birthday Gift, I humbly request my dear family and friends to make a donation, small or large, towards Akshaya Patra Foundation, to support my cause of Food for Education that will help feed children in India for their betterment and education. I would love to raise $3000 for my Birthday, please help me achieve my goal.
