7th Annual Walkathon Fundraiser Event
The Akshaya Patra Phoenix Chapter recently hosted its 7th Annual Walkathon Fundraiser at Desert Breeze Park. The event began at 8 am when youth ambassadors rallied their friends and family to participate in an early morning walk around the park. After the hike, attendees enjoyed a rejuvenating half-hour yoga session, which was highly appreciated by all. The youth ambassadors then took the spotlight and shared their personal experiences volunteering with Akshaya Patra, emphasizing the significance of community service and fundraising for children in India. Beyond raising funds, the event offered several fun-filled activities like musical chairs, a lemon and spoon race, and a pot painting sale by the Youth Ambassadors. The event also provided an excellent opportunity for guests to socialize and make new friends over brunch. The Akshaya Patra Phoenix Chapter is incredibly grateful for the community’s support and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of needy children.
Musical Fundraiser hosted by Phoenix Sargam Group
Phoenix Sargam Group Hosts Musical Fundraiser for Akshaya Patra Schools: On February 25th, a group of doctors and corporate professionals in Phoenix organized a fun-filled event to support Akshaya Patra’s mission at a local Indian restaurant, which drew in more than 160 friends and colleagues. With a love for singing, the group formed a musical ensemble called Phoenix Sargam and guests to participate in karaoke and enjoy performances, all supporting Akshaya Patra schools. The event also featured an interactive panel discussion about the cause and its impact. The event was a resounding success, raising sponsorships for over 18 schools and generating incredible outreach. We extend a heartfelt thank you to the Phoenix Sargam Group and our Phoenix Chapter for their generosity and hard work. Their efforts will help ensure that more needy children receive nutritious meals and access to education. Through the dedication and support of our Chapter members, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of children and families in need.
