Inspiring Progress to End Hunger

Progress is fundamental in Akshaya Patra’s mission and goals. By providing unlimited food for education, Akshaya Patra and its partners are paving the way for change and alleviating hunger in the lives of millions of children.  

Over the last 20 years, Akshaya Patra has progressed from providing only a few hundred meals to now over 1.8 million meals each day. Since the COVID-19 lockdown began in March 2020, we have served more than 175 million meals for food relief to migrant workers, mid-day meal beneficiaries, vulnerable individuals, and marginalized communities in India.

Join us in celebrating the immense impact and progress Akshaya Patra and our partners have made at our Central Region Virtual Gala, Partnerships for Progress, on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 6 pm CT | 7 pm ET. The event is hosted by the Florida, Ohio, and Texas Chapters.

The event features an incredible lineup of speakers including Narayana Murthy, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Infosys Limited, Professor & Author Sheena Iyengar, Writer & Diplomat Shashi Tharoor, and Varun Sivaram, Physicist, Author, & Clean Energy Technology Expert. Throughout the event, guests will enjoy musical performances by the incredibly talented singer Kailash Kher.
