Spandana Kamadolli, a 7th-grade student at a government school in Kiresur, Hubli, dreams of becoming a doctor and a sportsperson. However, her main goal is to become a doctor and serve people affordably, as she was inspired by the high treatment costs she witnessed during the Covid pandemic. She is part of a joint family of nine and her father works as a farmer while her mother is a homemaker. She has two siblings, one in the first year of PUC and one in 3rd grade.

Bringing food from home was inconvenient for Spandana, but she found a solution through Akshaya Patra’s mid-day meal program, which brings food directly to the school. Spandana particularly enjoys the Pulav provided by the program and is grateful that she can enjoy it with her friends.
